...hearing the voice of Andrea Bocelli in his own outdoor theater amid rolling
wheat-covered hills in one of central Tuscany’s most picturesque areas.
This magnificent theater, framed by medieval hill-towns, cypresses and olive trees,
is the Theatre of Silence. It is an open-air natural amphitheater located in Lajatico,
Maestro Andrea Bocelli’s hometown.

In 2006, Andrea Bocelli shared his desire for a theater with Lajatico’s mayor
and provided much of the funding for this awe-inspiring outdoor facility.
Andrea Bocelli signed a contract to perform in a few concerts, once a year,
with an agreement to keep the theater silent for the rest of the time.
