Villa Jolyn

This beautiful villa is full of details and its’ very well maintained throughout. All the bathrooms have been renovated and the entire property is built in the characteristic and beautiful architecture renowned to Capri, with unique details such as arches, staircases, and stone walls. The top, external part of the villa, boasts large panoramic terraces, with various seating areas, dominating the entire Bay of Naples and the lively town centre of Capri. The walls of the garden are decorated with statues and the wild vegetation. The access to the villa is twofold, either at the top, through a private gate, then down a flight of 23 steps, or at the bottom of the property, off of a small, pedestrian walkway, up a small flight of steps. Entrance into the main part of the villa is through a panoramic living room, beautifully tiled, as is the entire property, with hand designed, red, blue, and white ceramic crest pattern tiles. The living area is comfortably furnished with a long, 4-cushion couch, a long sitting bench, Sat-TV, DVD, stereo, and a super panoramic window looking out over the center of Capri. The living room, which enjoys a round, wrought iron and glass dining table, a beautiful antique dresser, an antique chest, antique silver pieces, is bordered by the owner’s collection of ceramic figurines and objects from the 7th century. The first floor of the villa enjoys two double bedrooms. The first is a double with air conditioning, a four door, built-in closet, an antique dresser/desk from the 8th Century, and an en-suite bathroom with shower. The tile work is similar to that in the living room – beautiful hand designed, red, blue, and white ceramic crest pattern tiles. The second bedroom, also a double, boasts a two door, built-in dresser, air conditioning, a small 12 inch flat screen TV with Sony DVD player, and an en-suite bathroom with box shower. The kitchen, also found on the first floor, off of the living room, enjoys a refrigerator with separate freezer, an oven, a four range stove top, and access out onto an external dining area with a large, rectangle dining table for 8 and a brick oven, great for pizzas and barbeques. 10 steps down from the living room leads to the third and fourth bedrooms. The third bedroom is a double with white tile floors, air conditioning, a four door built-in closet and an en-suite bathroom with blue ceramic tiles and a shower. The fourth is a twin which has two trundle beds, each with an additional single bed stored underneath (therefore, 4 people could sleep in this bedroom, although only on special request). This bedroom also boasts an en-suite bathroom with small shower and blue ceramic tiles. Terraces: The first large terrace is an enormous space, located off of the main entrance to the property, and boasts lots of space, a large, oval table with chairs, a large patio, and views with various chairs to take in the panorama. The second terrace, found off of the main entrance into the villa, is divided into two. The upper portion boasts beautiful, hand made ceramic tiles, a wicker couch and two square tables with chairs. It is a modern space with a large umbrella and garden lighting. The lower portion boasts a small sitting area with a glass coffee table with four wrought iron chairs. The walls of the garden are lined with statues and 8th Century marble.
